Jumperoo

My parents got John a Jumperoo yesterday.

I’d always said I’d never have one; I never understood the point in having children to just leave them to entertain themselves. However, having a baby puts things in perspective.

So far it seems to be a hit, with smiles and coos when we put him in it. When we leave him though, he’s a bit overwhelmed. Boy wants to interact! Not with the bright colours and flashing lights but with his Mummy & Daddy. Which is a great thing; I’d rather he’d want to spend his time with us, especially knowing this won’t always be the case.

The thing is, John is a strong boy. He’s forever wanting to stand and hates sitting or lying for long period of time unless he’s asleep. This is very cute but also very exhausting. I’m going to have the guns of a body builder soon due to his demands to be on his feet. The Jumperoo is a life saver in this instance as it means he can stand, bounce and play in the position he wants whilst giving my arms a well needed break.
