Dear John - This World Is Yours To Discover.

You think all flowers are dandelions -- blowing on them expecting the petals to fly away. You're never disappointed when your attempts don't work on a daisy or a buttercup, you simply thrust said flower into my face in some vain hope that my grown up 'dandelion blowing' will be more successful.

Your outlook on the world fascinates me. Everything is new, everything is exciting, and what is currently catching your interest never fails to surprise me. Yesterday we went to our local park where I expected you to be curious as to what the wild flowers are and do your usual escape attempt whilst chasing some poor unsuspecting dog in the distant.

But no, yesterday you decided you would master the zip on our changing bag, be a daredevil & climb up your buggy and spend some time practising strapping yourself into it. Our beautiful surroundings of wildlife & nature meant nothing to you.

And that's ok. There's plenty of years for your Mum to show you the beauty in a duck resting on a muddy bank of the pond & for us to take your little brother or sister on a treasure hunt through the bushes. I've no doubt that as you grow you'll discover all that's naturally beautiful in the world. For now though, Mummy will contine to show you how to strap yourself back into your buggy (& pull her hair out as she watches you too the contents of the changing bag onto the grass...).
