Mummy's Birthday Wishlist.

Being a Mum, your needs always come second. It's something you prepare yourself for during pregnancy and gladly live with day-to-day. The rewards are great so the sacrifice becomes small. Although that doesn't stop me eyeing up new material possessions, forming birthday wishlists in my mind.

In just a few short weeks I'll turn 23 years old. A hard pill to swallow but when I look at my life it's clear to see I'm doing not bad for my young age. A family, a home, the love of my life -- I've managed it all already. However, there's always a few items that could make it all sweeter! Here is my birthday wishlist - some realistic ideas and some not-so-realistic. But then that's what wishlists are for!

(Clockwise from the top left).

DSLR Camera Case. My poor camera. The majority of the time it's flung into our changing bag, occasionally with a scarf around it to 'protect' it. I did invest in a camera bag back when I first purchased my camera but it's lucky if that big bulky, ugly bag ever sees daylight, never mind be used for purpose. That's where this perfect little case comes in. Ideal for providing some protection for being lugged on beach trips, holidays and daily adventures.

Personalised Mother And Son Peas In A Pod Pendant. I came across this necklace whilst browsing Etsy and instantly fell in love. It's been on my wishlist for over a year now and even though I'll soon need another pea in my pod, I'd love to have a mother & son version just for John & I.

Black Canvas Classic TOMS. My trusty white plimsolls have had their day -- holes in the bottom, canvas wearing thin, a permanent shade of grey... I'm in desperate need of some new day-to-day footwear. Last summer I invested in some TOMS and I can honestly say they're my favourite shoes. These would be a greatly received gift that'd have plenty of use!

KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer. Pure indulgence. My baker-of-30+-years-mother would happily tell me a Kenwood would be just as good and a lot cheaper -- but mother, its not pink and its not pretty! I'd love a KitchenAid and this one is just gorgeous. Whether it'd fit in with my kitchen is a non-issue -- I'd happily redecorate just to accommodate it.

New Maternity Clothes. I'm living in my normal jeans held together with a hair-band instead of a button and oversized jumpers. What I would give to have some nice, flattering maternity clothes! ASOS have a fantastic range of maternity gear, as do Next but I struggle to justify the costs of maternity clothes due to the short time I'll wear them. This makes it the perfect gift for getting me through the coming months without relying on jogging bottoms and Iain's t-shirts.

When's your birthday? Do you have a wishlist planned out already?
