Boy loves his Daddy. All day, everyday, he asks for his Daddy ("Dada? Dada? Daddeeeee!!!"). He'll run around the house pointing at Daddy's shoes, putting on his clothes and watching the window for Daddy's car to return from work.
Most nights, John's fast asleep before Iain finishes work but they do get to spend some time together in the morning, with Iain usually being the one to get up with John first thing. So when it comes to weekends, boy feels spoilt to have his Daddy around all day! Usually our weekends aren't particularly exciting, with the majority of time spent running around the house. But today Iain decided we'd take John to Hoylrood Park to see the swans and play some football - the two of them were in there element! I sat back and watched as John ran back and forth to his Daddy, jumping into his arms with great delight.
And of course, there was the motherly heart attack too, as Daddy threw John right up into the air, whilst John squealed with laughter!

Daddy time is so precious in our house too, its lovely to have a day as a family. I dont know about you but Sebastian so often seems like a different child when daddy is around! A lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteJohn is so in love with his Daddy, it's beautiful to see. Just this morning we were woken by shouts of "Dada? Dada?" from his bedroom.
DeleteI adore this photo! So amazing! I always try and take them of my girls like this too. Do you have twitter? I keep going to RT your posts but I don't know if you have it or not. x
ReplyDeleteI do have Twitter! Sort of... I have it but have never really gotten into the swing of using it. One of my many plans for when I start maternity leave (one more week to go!!) is to get up to date with using Twitter. My username is @amylorimer.
DeleteI remember so vividly how I loved my dada days with my daughter. It started when she was about 13 months and we would drive around Dallas, TX and visit her favorite places; The Exxon Tiger, the big boot at the western wear store. The giant fish and of course the playground for endless swinging sessions.
ReplyDeleteEvery Saturday was dada day. We both looked forward to it more than anything. I was working a lot back then but nothing ever got in the way of dada day.
Now, she's in college and asked me a few weeks ago when could we have another dada day, I told her "the Saturday of course!"
Precious time and thank you for reminding me of some of the most beautiful moments in my life.
