I feel like in comparison to most kids Christmas wishlists that John's is a bit sparse. But the reality is, he doesn't need anything. He has plenty of toys already and we've been struggling to think of anything he'd really want, especially given that it's his birthday in January too. We have however settled on a few bits & pieces that we think he'll enjoy.
1. Duplo. I remember my sister's & I playing with Duplo when we were a little older than John and it was a toy that we continued to enjoy right through our childhood. And when John showed an interest in his cousin Sophie's Duplo at her birthday party earlier this year, I knew it'd be the perfect present for him. I've already bought him the Duplo Number Train and I think his grandparents will be getting him a couple of wee sets too. He'll soon have a huge collection of bricks for me to stand on (is there any worse pain??) in the middle of the night - joy!
2. Hot Wheels Mega Garage. I'm still not 100% convinced on this one due to the 3+ years recommendation it comes with, but Iain is adamant that John needs it. Since he's already obsessed with cars and has a sizeable collection of them, I'm sure he'll love it. And hopefully it'll restrain him from wanting to run his cars over David.
3. CD Player. I first thought of getting John a CD player when he wasn't talking very much as a way to encourage him to find his voice. Well, he's since found it! But now that he's taken to dancing to certain TV adverts & kids programs, I think he'd love to have his own wee CD player with some Disney CDs to dance along too until his hearts content!
4. Books. Kid is a book bug, he just can't get enough of reading. He's forever finding a new favourite - at the moment it's the Gruffalo (which we read 10+ times a day...). I plan on getting a few of his favourite library books for Christmas, including I Love My Mummy & I Love My Daddy.

What is on your wee one's list too Santa this year?
