| Bahaha! Look at David's face! (And excuse mine... 9am with two kids is never a great look). |

I love where we live. It's truly picture perfect. These photos were taken just a stones throw from our door step on Portobello's Promenade. A truly beautiful Prom complete with sandy shores, amusements arcade, ice cream and a little bit of sunshine.
Before David was born, John and I would often do lunch dates in various cafes around town, now though? I've not even attempted eating out with the two of them on my own. It's partly to do with the anxiety of dealing with the two of them in such a public setting, but it's mostly to do with the age that John's now at. Terrible twos. Whining, tantrums, not listening, never sitting still... He's well & truly there. The idea of being somewhere that I can't just pick him up, walk away and take him somewhere too cool off, is pretty daunting.
So, thank Christ for better weather! It may still be a little chilly out but it's certainly nice enough to sit on the Prom and snaffle some Cinnamon Sugar doughnuts from Crumbs for breakfast. It's perfect for me to be able to actually sit down & eat in peace (whilst also taking selfies with David) and John can get up & wander around, watch the dogs & people going past and make as much noise as he wants - all without a tantrum or having to sit still...even if he does occasionally try & make a break for it...

Lovely photo's, yay for sunshine! I'm looking forward to little lunch dates with Amelia this summer.

It's so nice to see the sun! Fingers crossed it sticks around. There's really no better backdrop for photos of wee ones than the great outdoors!

These photos are so lovely, what a gorgeous place to live! I can imagine the pressure of taking two littles out by yourself so it's great you were able to make the most of the nice weather and just go for it. Good for you :) xx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, Stephanie! I'll be taking advantage of our surroundings this summer to get John out and exhaust him. xo
