For parents who find these days familiar, there is an alternative to reaching for the biscuit tin in desperation (unless for yourself - that's always ok!). May I introduce you to Plum mighty4. These magical little pouches are full of good things that toddlers & parents will equally love. Each pouch is packed full of organic fruit & veggies, a fibre-full grain & some yummy Greek-style yoghurt, making them the perfect, nutritious snack for even the most energetic toddler - especially on those days that they wouldn't otherwise get what they really need from their food.
John recently tried out three of the Plum mighty4 pouches for himself:-
• Kale, Strawberry, Amaranth & Greek Yogurt
• Sweet Potato, Blueberries, Millet & Greek Yogurt
• Purple Carrot, Blackberry, Quinoa & Greek Yogurt.
As with all Plum Baby foods, the mighty 4 are made with lovely organic ingredients, meaning you can rest assured your toddler is getting only the finest food, tailored just to their age-specific needs. And to say John loved them is an understatement! Whether it was the novelty of sooking the contents from the pouch or the combination of flavours, he just couldn't get enough of them, even bringing me another from the cupboard & saying "more gogurt?" (ie. "more yoghurt?")
Flavour wise, they're actually quite nice. Not as sweet as I expected a yoghurt based snack for a toddler to be (which is a good thing!) but still surprisingly tasty. With each flavour, the fruit is the prominent taste although you can get hints of the veg in them too - rather strange when you're eating what seems like a blackberry yoghurt and you get a hint of carrot too! But like I say, John seemed to love them. The texture also surprised me as given the fact each one contains a different grain, I expected a lumpy or grainy texture, however they are lovely & smooth - perfect for those wee ones who're a little unsure of new foods.
I will definitely be purchasing some more Plum mighty4's for John in the near future. At a RRP of £1.19, they make the ideal snack for keeping in the changing bag whilst we're on the go or to send to nursery to compliment any meal.

We love Plum pouches, I tend to buy a lot when they're on offer to stock up as Little Man would live off the fruity ones if I let him! x
ReplyDeleteooh these look like they might be worth a try for my 2yr old, she's winding me up with her refusal to eat anything with any kind of nutritional value and like you, the later on in the day it gets the more I get the feeling of 'don't care what you eat as long as you eat something' and that's not a great place to be ...lets just hope she likes these!!
