Bath Time #voiceofmums

The great thing about blogging is being able to look back on what you said about something. Be it a few weeks, a couple of moths or even a year ago. This time last year I was longing for the days when I could bath both boys together. John had just turned 2 years & David was a few months old. Bath time equalled stress time!

A year on & things have improved greatly. In fact, both boys love bath time and excitedly wait as the bubbles appear, rushing & laughing around the house; butt naked of course! And like all things that involve toddlers, routine comes in to it too. From John peeing the second his feet are in the water & David trying to grab his willy as he does. The battle to wash hair, the grumbles as I clean snotty noses & the giggles at having "Santa bubbles" (aka. bubble beards) and looking just like Papa! And of course, the protests when it comes to taking them out!

My Mum is still amazed that we do bath time most every night, as growing up that wasn't something we ever did. In fact, baths were for when you needed them & no more; perhaps that was due to the neighbours thinking I was being murdered when the word 'shampoo' was even so much as mentioned!! But for John & David, bath time is the start of their bedtime routine and the perfect way to wind down after a busy day doing what toddlers do - which generally involves mess anyway!

Because bath time is all about getting ready for bed, a bath range that not only cleans but also calms is very much favoured in this house. I recently mentioned how boys are bloody hard work because they literally never stop, so a calming bubble bath with the Mum & Me Ultra Mild Head to Toe Wash, with a soothing camomile scent, is a great way to not only calm John & David down a bit but to also de-stress me! In fact, I even sneak a little in the shower for myself from time to time.

Taking inspiration for the Cussons new #VoiceOfMums campaign & their bath time moments video, we have also made our very own video of some of our favourite bath time moments. Have a watch, tell me what you think & if you like what you see, then you can also subscribe to our Youtube Channel.

With thanks to Cussons for letting us be part of their #VoiceOfMums campaign & for sponsoring us to do this post. As always, all words & opinions are our own.
