Yesterday we decided to take an impromptu walk along the Promenade, which turned out to be the perfect opportunity to test out John new bike; a birthday present from his Granny & Papa.
It's walks like these that make me fall in love with our home town all over again. It really is the perfect place to raise a family. The beach is just a stones throw from our front door and the High Street - packed to the brim with cafes, local businesses & charity shops - is a hop, a skip & a jump in the other direction.
And of course, it goes without saying, John loved being out with both Mummy & Daddy, as more often than not these walks are subject to just one parent due to the restraints of being a working-family. Daddy also had a great time pushing John along in his new bike, going faster than Mummy would have gone, doing 'wheelies' around the corner, and even deciding to take a pit-stop in the Amusements to play the two pence slots and so John could watch the ceiling fan.
