Wait, what? 2 months already? When did that happen? David's already left newborn baby territory and is sprinting into the world of smiling, sleeping & talking (well, kind of - cooing is a sort of talking, right...?). But scariest of all, he's currently wearing outfits that John wore when he could sit up unassisted and was eating solid food. Baby boy is a chunk! 3-6 month clothes & already some a little bit too snug fitting. Up to 13lbs 12oz and on the top percentiles for everything - complete contrast to his big brother who is still hovering around the 15th percentile.
The most surprising development David has reached has to be sleep. Just like his Mummy, he can't get enough of the stuff! Just last week he slept through the night - 10pm right up until 7am. Not waking once! Needless to say, he was ravenous when he did wake but I was happy to entertain his extreme hunger given the hours I'd managed to clock up myself whilst he slept soundly. He's yet to repeat such a good night but generally we get a good 6-8 hour stretch from him, followed by 2-3 hours after a quick feed. And who can complain about that?
Then there's the smiles. Those beautiful little smiles! And the sweetest giggles. As well as the cutest cooing & babbling. He's the happiest of souls. In fact the only time he really cries is during the clean up following a poop-splosion (we're talking poop up to the armpits!), something that happens every other day at the moment - much to my displeasure! But otherwise, at 2 months old, he's such a happy

He is so adorable.
