Living Arrows 11/52.
Life with boys was always going to end up with tree climbing. The over-protective mother within me hoped it wouldn't be for a fair few years yet. But here we are. Daddy was there to help and of course, and the branch he stood upon was only a few feet from the ground; yet it still gave me a short glimpse into the little boy that will no doubt fall out of a tree or off a climbing frame at some point in the next 10 years, breaking at least one bone whilst he does. And in the process of falling, he will reassure me that the over-protective mother in me was right. But also that it doesn't matter what she thinks - they're boys & they'll do it anyway!
Oh tree climbing has to be one of everyone's favourite memories from childhood! I can't wait to introduce our two to climbing trees x
ReplyDeleteI've got really fond memories of tree climbing. And some not so fond ones of being stuck...
DeleteThis is the very reason I love being the mummy to boys! Outdoor adventure at its very best..though when Rio ran upto me last summer holding the biggest worm ive ever seen I did back away a little!

Haha! John will definitely be the same with bugs & beasties. He's already obsessed with everything disgusting like bogeys & poop. Typical boy!
