5 Months.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate the fact that David is wearing the pyjamas that John had on the morning of his 1st Birthday. He's only 5 months old and already into 9-12 months clothes, weighing in at a sizeable 17lbs 6oz. Such a chunky little monkey!

As well as growing even more this past month, David has also been working on his rolling, well & truly mastering the roll from front-to-back-front-back, rolling across the room in the process. He even pivots in circles whilst on his tummy, making me think it won't be long until he first attempts the sniper crawl.

Just in time for starting Baby Led Weaning next month, he's also working on his grabbing, with everything going straight into the mouth! Much to John's delight, who just loves to hand David toy after toy and see what he does with it. He's not so keen however when David grabs a big handful of his hair during a cuggle, nor when he grabs hold of Mickey.

Next on the agenda is sitting. At the moment, David can manage a few seconds unassisted and a few minutes propped up with pillows, providing he stays put. But given his determination to permanently be on his feet, he doesn't tend to stay on his bum for very long before stretching & pushing his legs out. However going by his current strength, I think he'll be sitting upright in no time at all and be more than ready to munch on a bit of banana by the time 6 months comes around!
