You know those times when you ask for something, but do so half-heartedly as you think there's such a slim chance of it happening, and you don't want to appear too let down when you don't get it? Well, that's how I approached the Brilliance In Blogging (BiBs) awards.
There's some great parenting blogs out there these days, full of stories of day-to-day life and stunning photos of little ones. I decided to put myself forward for the BiBs on a whim - I figured it'd be a good way to get Diddle Diddle Dumpling out there, even though I never thought we'd have a chance of seeing the Shortlist. Well, after a cheeky wee nap this afternoon, I was awoken to hundreds of Tweets (ok, slight exaggeration...) congratulating us on making the shortlist in the Family category of this years BiBs. I was speechless and I still am, a little. I'm also just waiting on the email to say there's been a clerical error and I'm in fact not actually nominated at all...
But until that email comes (& hopefully it doesn't!!) I'm here asking you to give us a little vote. There's 18 categories in total (don't worry, you don't need to vote in all but it'd be awesome if you did take the time to - my favourites are below) and you'll find Diddle Diddle Dumpling under "Family". All you have to do is click here (or on the image below), then it's a simple click of a box, along with your name & email (to make sure you're not cheating & sending multiple votes - I'm looking at you, Mum!) and you're done. You've until midnight on Friday 16th May and if you really, really love Diddle Diddle Dumpling you can even share this post with your friends & family via your chosen social networks using the icons at the bottom of this post.
