6 Months.

Half a year. How is that even possible? My squishy little newborn is now a fading memory and in it's place is a rolling, shouting, eating-real-food baby. Such a bitter-sweet realisation.

The past month David has been on a mission - a mission to move! The second he's on the floor, he's rolling. Across the room, under the table & he even tried to go out the front door as I got his buggy organised at the beginning of the week. He's not really attempting to crawl just yet but I have a feeling the sniper-crawl will be making a début at some point soon. And despite his need to be on the go, David has also started to work on sitting up. He's actually pretty good at it but due to having ants in his pants, he tends to throw himself over the moment something catches his eyes.

The biggest milestone this month has been the start of weaning. We're obviously doing Baby Led Weaning again and so far it's been going well. David's only really had a few basic foods so far like banana, mango, pasta & Plums Little Yums, and he's yet to swallow very much but he has great fun squishing food in his hands, chomping on his fingers and making funny faces as he tries new tastes & textures.

And as always, he's still the happiest chap. Nothing seems to phase this wee boy. Forever smiling his gummy wee smile. No teeth yet but given the fist chewing, they can't be far away.

  1. I'm such a huge BLW fan and always love it when parents choose to go down that route! Your little man is so cute - Love his 'wee' hat! x

    1. It's the only way to go! Can't imagine spending hours making purées for them to be refused. Much easier to pop some spaghetti bolognese in front of them and embrace the mess! xo
