2014 on Diddle Diddle Dumpling

January.
The start of 2014 we were still freshly a family of four. We managed one of our first day trips, which although wasn't picture perfect, was an achievement in itself. January also marked the official start of potty training; something I totally wasn't prepared for. Best of all, we celebrated John turning 2 with a fantastic Mickey Mouse party!

February.
By February I had started work on my New Years Resolutions and shifted away from the Auto settings on my camera. I'm glad to say they I haven't resorted back to them, although I'm still very much learning. I also talked about tandem nursing for the first time on Diddle Diddle Dumpling.

March.
We ventured out once more & did a day out of the Museum of Flight. It was also getting a little warmer so we started getting out more, including for breakfast on the Prom.

April.
A busy month where I used my camera an awful lot! From Papa's Nawr to Spring Saturday's, lots of memories were captured. Then there was Easter when the Easter bunny came round & left the boys an egg hunt. Questioning of when we'd be weaning David also started and David & I got into the routine of Johns nursery days. Best of all, we were shortlisted in the Brilliance In Blogging Awards!

May.
I finally got around to writing David's Birth Story, as well as sharing something I wrote about whilst reflecting on Johns first days of life. We were also announced as a Finalist in the BiB Awards(!!). And we returned to potty training with an update of what was happening & how we were going forward from there.

June.
Another busy month! We took another visit to see Papa's Nawr, as well as the Scottish Seabird Centre. I also wrote on of my favourite blog posts of the 2014; My Son May Give You a Stone. We also took part in the Keep Britain Breastfeeding Scavenger Hunt so a lot of boob talk featured on Diddle Diddle Dumpling. Finally I joined in with the controversy of what Kirstie Allsop said & shared my views on having kids & going to university.

July.
To celebrate making it past the halfway mark of 2014, I did a little update post on my New Years Resolutions for 2014 - I'm also glad to say that I did continue to work on them all in the latter part of the year too! We had another day trip, this time at sea. I also turned 24 in July and we celebrated with a trip to our favourite park on a gloriously sunny day. Finally there was my first blogger event that I attended in Glasgow, in the form of a photography workshop and despite the rubbish Scottish weather it was a great day!

August.
A quieter month for us. Another update on Potty Training & even a little bit of baking. We did however take the boys to their first ever show in the Edinburgh Fringe and I also wrote about how John was now able to express feelings & emotions. It was the month that I first opened up about my Cystic Acne as well. (update coming soon!).

September.
I tried something a little different this month with 50 Facts About Me and the start of Diddle Diddle Dumpling's Home Made Christmas. It was also the month I returned to work and has since seen a big adaptation period for our wee family - we're getting there now though! I also talked about John's imagination which even now amazes me with each day that passes. And after losing track of David's monthly updates, I took a little time to write about what he was up to too.

The Gruffalo & a skeleton. Happy Halloween!
October.
A quieter month, which seen the continuation of Diddle Diddle Dumpling's Home Made Christmas. We also received some fantastic Hand-me-downs this month and John has been looking super stylish ever since! And most notably, we filmed our first ever vlog! Of course, no October would be complete without Halloween too.

Bumble Bee party cake & decorations.
November.
The month I became all nostalgic! With John nearing 3 years old  and David having his 1st Birthday, it was a emotional month. To celebrate David's big milestone we celebrated with a Bumble Bee Birthday Party!

December.
We slowed down online as Christmas approached as real life had suddenly gone mad! Between all the festivities, David had his immunisations, almost bang on date with his hospital day the year before. We embraced the Christmas spirit in the form of jumpers & of course indulged in a little Chirstmasy photo shoot! Oh, and we also ended the year with a Christmas Miracle!

Thanks for being their throughout 2014 & here's to an even better 2015!
